Orange and Blue Weekend 2012
Dear Epsilon Zeta Alumnus,
On behalf of the Epsilon Zeta Chapter of Sigma Nu Fraternity, I would like to invite you to our 2012 Alumni Weekend. Since returning to campus, we have held Alumni Weekend events multiple times and are excited about this year’s lineup. We recently initiated 23 new brothers to the Epsilon Zeta Chapter, making it the largest pledge class in our history. The active membership is now up to 65 brothers and we have high expectations for Spring Recruitment. The Chapter is gaining unbelievable momentum on campus and Alumni Weekend is our chance to share that with you.
Our active brothers appreciate the opportunity to talk and network with our Alumni. You have been where we find ourselves today and the advice and stories we can learn from you are invaluable. However, the weekend is really for you. This year we will be holding Chapter on Friday evening at 6pm. This gives you the opportunity to engage in our ritual once again. Furthermore, it gives you the chance to be reminded what it means to be a Sigma Nu and offers a time to contribute suggestions, advice, and criticisms that you feel can better our active Chapter.
Below is the schedule of events for the weekend:
Following the Chapter Ceremony, everyone will be breaking off to do dinner on their own. Beginning at 9pm, we will be having a social night at the Sigma Nu House. This includes two hours of open bar service followed by two hours of cash bar service. The tailgate on Saturday will begin at 9 A.M. and feature catering from a local barbeque restaurant. Parking is available at the Sigma Nu house. The Formal Dinner Reception is the main event for the weekend and will be held in the Grand Ballroom of the Paramount Plaza Hotel. Sigma Nu Alumni can receive a group rate of $79/night for rooms at The Paramount for the weekend. The dinner will feature fruit and cheese hors d’oeuvres, a three course meal, and a full cash bar. We are actively working on obtaining a speaker for the event as well. The golf outing will be altered to a 2 or 4 person scramble tournament depending on registration numbers.
Be sure to check www.ufsigmanu.com often for updates and a running list of Alumni Weekend attendees. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me by phone at (321)243-9141 or by email at amaceda21@gmail.com. I look forward to meeting you in April.
Fraternally with Love, Honor, and Truth,
Andrew Maceda
